NH Farm to School Program

NH Farm to School (NHFTS) is a statewide program working to connect NH farms and schools. Farm to school connections enable schools to serve healthy, locally grown foods in their cafeterias, integrate farms, food, and nutrition into their curriculum, and explore food and agriculture-based learning opportunities.

Local Harvest Initiative

The Local Harvest Initiative is a growing partnership of UNH Dining, the Sustainability Institute at UNH, and local producers. Through the Local Harvest Initiative, UNH Dining is committed to serving locally, regionally, and sustainably grown, produced, and manufactured items to the greatest extent possible.

Food Solutions New England

Food Solutions New England (FSNE) is a UNH-based initiative designed to promote food systems that support sustainable farm and food enterprises and sound nutrition in New England communities. FSNE promotes comprehensive, systemic approaches linking farm, food, nutrition, and social justice issues using analysis and visualization to help improve the integrity and viability of the regional food system.

Women's Health Services

Clinical Services include annual examinations, diagnosis and treatment of abnormal pap smears, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy testing and counseling, contraceptive services, and limited sexual assault services. Women's health counseling is also provided. Health Services also offers education, a resource library and online resources. Education/information are free to the UNH community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee.

Wellness Counseling and Education

Wellness educators/counselors are available to discuss personal wellness, which may include topics such as physical, social, emotional, spiritual, environmental, intellectual, occupational, and financial wellness. Education, a resource library, and online resources also are available. Education/information are free to UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health services fee.

Travel Health Clinic

Whether you are traveling abroad for fun or for academic/professional reasons, all your medical travel needs can be met conveniently at Health Services during the academic year through the state-approved travel clinic. It is recommended that you schedule your travel clinic visit at least 4-6 weeks before you plan to leave. If students have paid the health fee, visits to the travel clinic are covered, immunizations are charged at a reduced rate. Clinic visit and immunizations are charged at a reduced rate for faculty, staff and adjunct employees.

Tobacco Use Cessation, Education, and Counseling

Health Services offers many tobacco cessation options such as nicotine replacement therapy, hypnosis, medical acupuncture, and prescription medication. Education, the resource library, and online resources are available. Education/information are free to the UNH community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health services fee. Tobacco cessation options are available for an additional cost.

Stress Management Counseling and Education

Wellness educators/counselors are available to discuss stress management. Education, the resource library, and online resources are also available. Education/information and services are free to the UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. Wellness educators/counselors are available to discuss sleep and stress management. Education, the resource library, and online resources also available. Education/information services are free to the UNH Community. Counseling is also available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. Students who have not paid the health fee have an additional cost.

Sexually Transmitted Infections Counseling and Education

Counseling, testing, and treatment, as well as free condoms (latex, polyurethane, incentive), dental dams, and lubricant are available for students.  Education, a resource library, and online resources are also available. Education/information are free to the UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee. Testing and treatment for infections are available to students with additional costs.
