Travel Health Clinic

Whether you are traveling abroad for fun or for academic/professional reasons, all your medical travel needs can be met conveniently at Health Services during the academic year through the state-approved travel clinic. It is recommended that you schedule your travel clinic visit at least 4-6 weeks before you plan to leave. If students have paid the health fee, visits to the travel clinic are covered, immunizations are charged at a reduced rate. Clinic visit and immunizations are charged at a reduced rate for faculty, staff and adjunct employees.

Tobacco Use Cessation, Education, and Counseling

Health Services offers many tobacco cessation options such as nicotine replacement therapy, hypnosis, medical acupuncture, and prescription medication. Education, the resource library, and online resources are available. Education/information are free to the UNH community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health services fee. Tobacco cessation options are available for an additional cost.

Stress Management Counseling and Education

Wellness educators/counselors are available to discuss stress management. Education, the resource library, and online resources are also available. Education/information and services are free to the UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. For students who have not paid the health services fee, there is an additional cost.

Wellness educators/counselors are available to discuss sleep and stress management. Education, the resource library, and online resources also available. Education/information services are free to the UNH Community. Counseling is also available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. Sexually Transmitted Infections Counseling and Education

Counseling, testing, and treatment, as well as free condoms (latex, polyurethane, incentive), dental dams, and lubricant are available for students.  Education, a resource library, and online resources are also available. Education/information are free to the UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee. Testing and treatment for infections are available to students with additional costs.

Sexual Orientation and Education Counseling

Students and employees who are GLBTQQIA (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, or Allies), will find a safe haven within Health Services. Health Services has gay and gay-friendly staff who are supportive and affirming to all GLBTQQIA students.  Education, a resource library, and online resources are available. Education/information is free to the UNH Community. Counseling available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. Students who have not paid the health services fee have an additional cost.

Seasonal Affective Disorder Light Therapy

Light therapy is one form of treatment for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Sitting in front of a light box is just one way to cope. Most studies show that about 75% of individuals who experience with SAD feel improvement when using light therapy within a couple days to a few weeks. Health Services offers free light therapy to current UNH students, UNH/USNH employees and their dependents.
