January gym crowds and early semester stress can make working out seem like more of a chore than an enjoyable activity. Going to the gym can be a fantastic way to get fit, but it’s not the only way. You can participate in a variety of physical activities at home or outside that will give you the same health benefits and make exercise a fun part of your everyday life. They key is to find activities that correspond with your personal interests.

Pumpkin spice lattes have left the building and have been replaced by cups covered in snowflakes and filled with peppermint flavors. This can only mean one thing: winter is on the way. Whether you have been keeping active all semester or are just looking to start, winter is a great time to spice up your workout routine and try something new. Living in New England we are lucky enough to experience all four seasons and have access to many winter sports people living in warmer climates aren’t able to participate in.
