Pharmacy, Laboratory and Radiology

Pharmacy

Currently, Health Services does not participate with any pharmacy plans. Many prescriptions written for acute needs by practitioners at the Employee Clinic may be filled at the Health Services Pharmacy for $5 without using your pharmacy benefit. You can also have your generic prescription from an outside provider (e.g., primary health care provider) refilled at the pharmacy for $5 if it is on the list of generic medications available.

You can use your Flexible Spending Account (e.g., WageWorks) to cover the pharmacy charges. Additionally, we accept cash, credit card (MC and Visa), check and Cat’s Cache.

Laboratory

The Health Services Laboratory provides most standard diagnostic lab tests. A lab order request from the Employee Clinic or your health care provider is required before you can be scheduled for all laboratory procedures.

Lab orders can be faxed directly to Health Services or brought to the Employee Clinic.

All outside lab orders should include the following information:

  • Patient's name and DOB
  • Specific test(s) ordered
  • Diagnosis/reason for test
  • Provider's full name, mailing address, telephone number(s), fax number(s)
  • Provider's signature

The lab report will be faxed back to the ordering health care provider and they are responsible for contacting you with the results. In most cases test results will be available within 24 hours, depending on the test (some tests may take longer).

All outside x-ray orders should include the following information:

  • Order date
  • Patient's name and DOB
  • Specific x-ray needed
  • Diagnosis/reason for test
  • Provider's full name, mailing address, telephone number(s), fax number(s)
  • Health provider's signature on an official radiology requisition or office letterhead

The radiology report will be faxed back to the ordering health care provider and they are responsible for contacting you with the results. In most cases test results will be available within 24 hours, depending on the test (some tests may take longer).

Copies of your x-ray may be obtained from the Radiology Department.
