Educational Programming in the Residence Halls

Providing educational programs on health and wellness topics to students is one of the primary reasons the Office of Health Education and Promotion exists! Our Wellness Educators/Counselors and trained Students Promoting Information on Nutrition (SPIN) can come right to your hall and present a program to your residents.

Many of our programs are ready made. However, if we don't have a program already developed that fits the needs of your students, we can collaborate with you to develop a program just for your residents.

Program topics include:

  • Nutrition
  • Eating concerns
  • Body image
  • Self esteem
  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco
  • Other drugs
  • Sexuality
  • Sexual Health
  • Gender identity and expression
  • Men's and Women's health
  • Stress management
  • Wellness
  • Meditation
  • AND MORE!

We request at least two weeks notice for programs and ask that you provide us at least two dates and times.

Party Kits

Offering a fun and educational program is always our aim. But our Party Kits really hit the mark! Our kits have been rocking the residence halls for years and are one of the easiest and creative ways to educate your residents.

Party Kits Available:

  • Sleep Kit – this kit teaches your residents about the importance of getting a good night’s sleep and techniques to sleep well at UNH and beyond.

We request at least two weeks notice for a Party Kit request.

Professional Consultations

Remember when... or imagine if...

A student came to you concerned about their partner who they knew had been struggling with an eating concern.

A resident emailed you worried that their best friends use of alcohol was turning into a daily routine.

You pass a resident in the hall who is usually upbeat but today something is different. They share with you that they just discovered they have a chronic illness.

Students who are struggling with eating concerns, substance issues or other health concerns require extra care, attention and education that we are trained to deal with. Our Wellness Educators/Counselors are available to provide training and/or individual consultations for you to assist your resident. Call us at (603) 862-3823 or drop in and visit us.
