NIMH has funded study of men who experienced physical aggression from
their girlfriends, wives, or female partners. The study is intended
to provide information that can help male victims cope with their
situation and information that can provide a basis for programs that
will reduce the occurrence of this type of partner violence.
The principle investigators are Denise Hines of Clark University
(DHines@clarku.edu) and
Emily Douglas of Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts (Emily.Douglas@bridgew.edu).
They hope that you can help them recruit participants for the study,
or if you yourself are in that category, that you will participate.
Specifically, they would greatly appreciate your inviting participation
by any of your male clients who experienced physical aggression
from a partner in the past 12 months and who are between the ages
of 18-59. Participate consists of responding to a confidential survey
online at the link: www.clarku.edu/faculty/dhines
