I am pleased to present to you the recipients of the University's 2012 Faculty Excellence awards, recognizing outstanding achievement in teaching, engagement, and research.
Our field of winners this year represents an extraordinary range of talent, scholarship, and dedication. I am always impressed with the diversity and depth of our award winners' scholarly pursuits, and this year is certainly no exception. A freshman composition teacher who uses rich media to help prepare students for academic success in a variety of disciplines, a lifelong traveler who has internationalized nursing education at UNH, a computer scientist who garnered a prestigious Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award from the National Science Foundation—these are only the beginning.
Meet a professor who uses theater arts to promote social justice, a researcher whose work is informing the battle against cancer, and a decision science professor who links UNH to industry in significant ways. All share a sense of pride and belief in the enduring value of our University and its myriad contributions to our communities.
Their stories are told here in videos and portraits that capture the essence of these wonderful individuals and their shared love of knowledge and sense of purpose.
