Special Programs

The English Department offers a number of Institutes and Programs that provide unique opportunities for both undergraduate- and graduate-level students. Some of these programs serve non-degree and non-UNH students, as well.

The Cambridge Program is a summer study abroad program which is open to both undergraduates and graduate students, from UNH or from other institutions.

The ESL Institute is a comprehensive program that teaches English to speakers of other languages, aiding both UNH degree students and members of the community.

The NH Literacy Institutes is a series of summer courses at the graduate level focused on the teaching and learning of writing. 

Learning Through Teaching is a consulting and teaching program for primary and secondary school teachers and based in the schools .

 

The Writer's Academy is a summer writing program for budding writers in grades 5 through 10.
