Checklist for Ph.D. Applicants

Your application should include the following:  

____ Application form (available here)

____ University or college transcripts (Bachelor's and Master's degrees)

____ General GRE scores

____ Advanced GRE score in Literature (required for PhD in Literature students only)

____ Three letters of recommendation

____ Writing sample

____ Financial aid form (available here)*

____ Teaching Assistantship application form (available here)*
 

Please send all materials to The Graduate School, Thompson Hall, University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH  03824.  Do NOT send materials directly to the English Department;  doing so may result in a significant delay in an admission decision.  

*all applicants for our PhD program are required to hold a Teaching Assistantship. For that reason, you must include these forms with your application. Please mark "Teaching Assistantship" as your first choice for financial aid.
