We are looking for talented interns to work with our sales and marketing team
on the following projects:
• Outreach and follow-up with NYC and Long Island chefs who currently
use or may be interested in our micro-greens.
• Community outreach projects (NYC Greenmarkets, events with James Beard
House and James Beard Foundation).
• Public relations, social media and writing for marketing materials and
Intern will learn the ins and outs of marketing and public relations in the
food world, grow to be more connected to writers, bloggers, editors and
photographers as well as have access to and gain an understanding about
launching products on a national level.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in marketing, public relations
and be on top of what is “hot” right now in the NYC and Long Island food
community. You should be computer proficient with fantastic writing and oral
skills and the ability to work well on a team and to take direction. A
comfortable knowledge of social media outlets is a definite plus.
1) Outreach and Marketing with James Beard House:
Interns will work with the historical James Beard House and with chefs to
supply them with product and schedule follow-up meetings.
2) Chef Visits
Interns will use our database to locate new and follow up with current chef
accounts in the NYC metro & Long Island region. Interns will call chefs off
this list, set up meetings, present cresses and do follow-up communication.
3) Social Media work: Candidates seeking to work on social media with us will
have strong Facebook, You Tube, Twitter, Pinterest, tumblr, and Hootesuite
skills. The internship will focus on creating a stronger brand and media

Compensation: $15/hr. We ask for a 8-12 hour/week time commitment.
