Art Camp - Summer Art Camp for Children

Art Camp

The UNH Museum of Art offers visual arts classes for Grades 2 – 8 and pre-college intensives for Grades 9 – 12 in July. Classes are half-day for one week and include art, clay & wheel work, photography, art history, and painting. Studio art showcases of student work are held on Friday of each week.

Museum of Art

Presenting Art Exhibitions and Weekly Programs

Changing exhibitions and an array of programs (gallery walks, films, concerts, and slide lectures) are presented free of charge. Our Outreach Program offers a lending library of audio-visual materials and guided exhibition tours for school teachers and their students. Open September - May: Monday - Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Thursday 10 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 1 - 5 p.m.

New Hampshire Youth Band

Providing Musical Challenges for Serious Musicians

This ensemble provides musical challenge and advanced performance experiences for school band musicians from New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine. Groups rehearse and perform at UNH on Sundays from noon to 2:00 PM. Concerts are given with various UNH concert bands, and occasional trips for outside performances and tours, including to locations such as New York City, are regularly scheduled.

Theatre Day Camp and Dance Intensives for Youth

Training in performing arts, creative arts, production, and performance. Skilled and experienced directors have advanced degrees and/or are state-certified to teach grades 3-12. They provide a supportive atmosphere in which talent and creativity are encouraged.

Summer Youth Music School (SYMS)

Students Sharpen Their Music Skills

A longstanding and popular summer music program for kids entering grades 5 – 12. Students concentrate on an instrument or voice along with electives to broaden their experience. Learning is one with outstanding college music professors, high school teachers, and college students.

University Museum

Sharing the University's resources

The University Museum, located within Special Collections and Archives in Dimond Library, plans two exhibitions per year covering a wide range of themes related to UNH’s history, programs, collections, or community. Hours: M-F, 10-4, Sat. 12-4:00 (academic year only). Closed UNH holidays.

Whittemore Center Arena, The

The Whittemore Center Arena hosts a variety of events throughout the year including concerts, tradeshows, family shows and other special events. The arena is home to the UNH Men's & Women's Ice Hockey programs as well as the Oyster River Bobcats.
