Lori Trauntvein, APRN: Employee Clinic Provider

Tuesday, January 28, 2014

Faculty and staff who use the employee clinic will now be seen by the same provider rather than different health professionals. Lori Trauntvein, a board certified family nurse practitioner who has been part of a rotating medical staff at the clinic since 2012, will now provide continuity of care for employees and dependents.

Medical assistant Kathy Spiers, a Health Services employee since 2006, will offer support in the clinic.

Located at the Health Services Center, the employee clinic is available for all USNH/UNH employees and dependents over the age of 18 who need care for minor, acute health problems and injuries. A list of services can be read here

Pharmacy, laboratory and x-ray services also are available. While Health Services does not participate with any pharmacy plans at this time, many low cost generic prescriptions are available for $5, and a number of non-prescription medications are available at reduced costs.

Employees who are insured through Harvard Pilgrim do not need a referral to use the clinic. Those who have other coverage should first check with their provider. Workers need to show their university ID and insurance card. Dependents need to present a photo ID and insurance ID card.

The employee clinic is open Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. Limited parking is available outside of the Health Services Center. Appointments can be made online at the Health Services website or by calling 2-HLTH (4584).
