Want to find a way to fit fitness into your day without having to wait to get on a machine? You can at the Employee Fitness Center where faculty and staff can work out free of charge.

Located in the Field House, the center is open Monday through Friday, 6–8 a.m. and 11 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Users need to sign in but aren’t required to show a UNH ID. The center, launched in 1986 with start-up funds from the President’s Office, is run by graduate and undergraduate exercise science students under the guidance of a faculty member from the department of kinesiology.

To date, more than 2,100 faculty and staff have been tested at the center through the department’s employee fitness program

The center offers a wide variety of state-of-the-art aerobic, strength, balance exercise training equipment, including StarTrac treadmills and elliptical trainers, LifeFitness Exercise cycles, Schwinn AirDyne cycles, StairMaster step machines, Concept II rowers, Nautilus strength stations, and free weights.

Men’s and women's locker rooms are located on the lower level of the Field House, and are available for employees to use.
