Institutional Review Board Weekly Sessions Held Wednesdays

Tuesday, August 06, 2013

The UNH Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects in Research (IRB) is piloting weekly “Ask the IRB” sessions during the fall 2013 semester.  One or more IRB members will host the sessions Wednesdays, 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Dimond Library Room 352 (there will be no session on Nov. 27).

The IRB invites faculty, staff, and students to meet with members to discuss human subjects issues, such as minimizing risk, protecting confidentiality, or avoiding undue influence and coercion, study design to minimize risk, or to ask questions related to human subjects protections.  In many cases, working through such issues before submitting an application facilitates the IRB review and approval process.

Information about the new “Ask the IRB” sessions is available on the IRB’s website at http://www.unh.edu/research/human-subjects as is IRB membership. Contact Julie Simpson, 2-2003, in Research Integrity Services with any questions.
