The annual campus community sing, which included a variety of yoga poses this year, not only attracted family members from across the campus but also a number of UNH students on their way to classes. kids looking at mural

“The Week of the Young Child highlights the work of early childhood teachers and the rights of young children,” says CSDC executive director John Nimmo. “Closer to home, this event was an opportunity to recognize that the CSDC children are UNH’s youngest citizens and also are engaged in a discovery-based education.”

Nimmo also presented the keynote address at the 2013 Celebration of NH Afterschool and Early Childhood Professionals in Pembroke on Tuesday, April 16, at which Gov. Maggie Hassan read the state proclamation for the Week of the Young Child.

The CSDC is the nationally recognized laboratory school program of the family studies department, serving 122 children and their families, with support from the College of Health and Human Services. For more information, visit www.csdc.unh.edu.
